Looking for a Gaming Laptop to Record With

Asus ROG G750JZ is kinda at 2500 bucks ($2499.99), though it's cheaper right now on Amazon. It has one of the best performance for a laptop. The graphics card is close to the performance of a GTX 780. Overall a great bang for the buck for a laptop. You can even choose your OS, I think (not sure about that).

I would still recommend getting a mini-ITX PC as KillerToad said, it's cheaper and better.

I'm sure you've already decided but i recently have got a Lenovo Y510P that is less than $2000 and can run just about every game and record it. For example it can run a nd record : Arma 2, TitanFall, Minecraft, Grid 2, Payday 2, etc. Great laptop for all around use and light weight too. Some games you must play plugged into the charger or else it will lag a little but otherwise great.

Why are you gaming on vacation? Lol, you should really get a miniATX desktop. Much more performance, and cheaper too.

Basically, yes. But as for the part about Windows 8, I've found a way to disable the Metro Interface with a tutorial so that should work for me.

I can't get a desktop because of size issues and I travel a lot, plus my mom won't allow it.

I hate the Metro Interface and Windows 8. I wouldn't mind Windows 8 if it had a regular start menu.

And Windows 8/8.1 has better performance in-game (5-25%) over Windows 7. Why get the lower end one, when its the same price? A lot of people that say it "sucks" have never used it. I didn't think it'd be oh so great, but I fell it love with it. It quick, snappy, and it grows onto you as you use it.

I use windows 8, it is tolerable and simple if you download some programs to optimize it so it looks like windows 7 with the 8 style. like ViStart- gets you a windows icon that works as it predecessors like windows 7, and you the to keep the bottom left corner that takes you to that menu thingy.
I use a Toshiba Satellite L855-S5405. Its pretty good and runs me a constant 60 fps for gaming. when recording I receive the recommended of 30 fps
and its a decently cheap laptop at about $700 at best buy

I'd like to thank you all for your suggestions and I look forward to more answers but keep in mind that I CAN'T get a desktop for some personal reasons. Also, I cannot use Windows 8 because it sucks so much.

You won't find many laptops above $2,500 especially for a windows computer. MacBooks only run a base price of around $1,300... And Macs are known to be expensive.

Thank you for suggesting this, it looks great and very affordable, but is there a version with Windows 7 rather than Windows 8?

KillertoadGo with the MSI: GE70 Apache Pro-061. It has the 860m, which is one of the only mobile cards with the new Maxwell technology, and one of the only mobile cards with Shadowplay (recorders with really no FPS drop at all.) Also, Shadowplay allows streaming, way better than other streamers. But if you can find one with the 880m, then go with that one, as it is a lot faster.

This is probably the best you will get for recording. I believe the snake mentioned this, colored font throws me off xD

Go to msi.com. They have the best gaming laptops and their new laptops come with free recording software that you usually have to pay $5 a month for. I have an msi and it is amazing. I think this is exactly what you are looking for.

My laptop has only 2GB over RAM and it barley plays Minecraft never even mind trying to record it. If you are wanting to record I would suggest at least 8GB of RAM and to be honest @m -snip- with the rest of the specs
