Make A Server Message

Hi! My server is temporarily down for maintenance. I want to redirect my users to a message (like the one you see when kicked from a server) that says what has happened. Anybody know how to do this?

I would suggest a whitelist and changing the whitelist message

How long will it be down? If it's just like for a day or something, I don't really recommend doing anything, if it says "can't reach server" then people won't really try to get on.
If you really want it though, or it'll be down for a while, I recommend Googling a plugin for it or something.
