So, I'm trying to make pixelmon server. We're just about ready to start building the adventure world. But one of my builders suggested a custom map, so I got MC Edit but I'm completely lost. I need to make a map for 1.12, which I'm not even sure it offers. I'm looking for someone who could either teach me to recreate this mock-up in MC Edit or put it together for me... We don't need any buildings or roads, we're going to do it ourselves, it's just the biome generation that I need.
Here's the map, it's supposed to look sorta like a pie with the 8 pieces being the different biomes and the birch forest in between. If you can get the birch forest to be very hilly or on a single large cliff over looking the islands, that would be awesome. Natural but obviously going for equal biomes is the idea. Let me know if you can't read my handwriting. Outside the main island is ocean and then natural generation for the survival part of the world. (if that's a thing you can do) As for size, I'm thinking 4096x4096 (2x the max map size.) Or bigger, if that's smaller than what you'd reccomend.

I've never really used MC Edit, it has it's place, but I don't think world creation is one of it's strong points.
Instead, I'd go get world painter, watch a video on how to use it, and download some custom brushes.

Ah, see, I've never heard of that before, but that sounds like exactly what I need! My friend suggested MC Edit, but I guess it makes sense that's I found it to not be what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
