Hi,

My recent mc modpack has been glitching, what should I do?

p.s. I tried removing animated player, that makes it worse.

"No class definition error" means that one of the objects the mod is trying to load isn't actually in the program. Is this a mod you're making or one you've downloaded? If you're making it, check for spelling or capitalization errors anywhere you're referencing your classes and make sure all of your includes are properly called.

If you're just trying to use one you've downloaded, check with the person who made it whether it requires a specific version of JAVA or if there are any libraries it's dependent on.

Found a safer site for the Animation API download.

https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/animated-player-mod/files

Just put the .jar file in your mods folder.

The crash log reads as though the animation API mod isn't installed.

Did you get it from this site ?

https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/1289836-animationapi-animate-your-entities-v1-2-3

***WARNING*** That site is chock full of redirects and fake download buttons, so be careful you're downloading the right thing.

I does look like the animation API hasn't been updated in a really long time, so there may just be a compatibility issue with the new MC versions.

Also, the API requires FORGE mod loader, and if you're playing on a server, it has to be installed at the server level as well as on the player's machine.

I hope this helps give you a direction to go in. If you still can't get it working, post more information including the name of the specific mod pack, the version of minecraft, what mod loader and version you're loading it with, and any other details you can think of. If I can't help you, I'm sure there's some more talented modders and gurus around here that can.

In that case, the best thing to do is take all of the mods out of the folder and put them back one at a time to see which one causes it to hang. Start with the animation API to make sure that one isn't the problem. Hopefully, all but one of them will load without issues. Then we can trouble shoot whichever one is causing the problem.

If you made it yourself I'd find out which mods don't and do work, and then remove the ones that don't.
