Recently, whenever I do f3, it says that my Minecraft is up to 80 percent used memory. I have multiple VERY large worlds and I want to know how to save some memory from them.

Minecraft has never and never will be requiring more than the current amount, 512mb, if you have 4gb allocated to Minecraft and it's running at 80% something is obviously not right.
Ugh, tell me about it. I've got a pretty good computer, one that's been able to easily handle MC maxed out, but now it's running the game at 40% speed like it's struggling. And I just today got an even better computer with the same issue.
I have actually noticed this issue myself with the latest versions of Minecraft, the change in fps is not even possible by adding those small features. My pc's fps dropped by 300 when i updated my Minecraft, something is obviously either wrong with the code, or so they messed something else up.
Mhm. Anyway, we're getting off-topic. OP, it really depends on your computer and what you're doing on the world. As long as it's not causing lag, don't worry about it.
We must not be playing the same game then. I won't run MC with anything less then 4 GB, it just sucks. You just must not be playing hard enough
Minecraft doesn't need more than 1 GB of ram.

I have 8 gigabyte RAM, but I dont know how much is dedicated to MC or how to see how much is dedicated to MC
Erm, only one world at a time gets loaded, so having a bunch doesn't matter. Do you know how much RAM your computer has, and how much is dedicated to MC?
