Hey guys,yeah, I messed up my minecraft.
Well, you see, I was trying to download a mod and I did it wrong. So, now I have all this junk in my minecraft.jar. And it won't run. Do I have to search for every little thing and get it out?
Please help.

Right click minecraft.jar hit properties, click the "Previous Versions" tab and select the one you want then click apply. Then everyone's happy

this has happened to me 2 times and i have no luck with mods, anywho you need to backup your ".minecraft" folder and open the folder and delete the "bin" file and then run minecraft and it installs minecraft again so you can play and if you use mcpatcher you will need to install that again. hope this helps
Just Force update the game. If you are playing on a lower version and want to keep it, you'll have to replace your .jar with a backed up one, if you have it.
