Minecraft Crashes When Launched

Okay, so here's my problem. I recently got a new laptop, an inspiron 1545, and when I attempt to launch minecraft, it crashes. This also happens with my other games as well. I'm not exactly sure if my system meets the requirements to play these games or if I need to update something. When minecraft crashes, it tells me I have a lack of updated graphics drivers, however, I checked and they appear to be up to date. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It isn't incompatible, I just played PC on Windows 10 a few hours ago,( again I am not referring to Minecraft Beta Windows 10 Version), and honestly I think my only problem was I had to use the new download and set resolution from 800 x 600 to native resolution.

I don't recommend downgrading. I think you're attempting to run PC/Mac version on Windows 10 which is incompatible. Instead, you can download Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta from https://mojang.com which is free for PC/Mac owners. Here are the instructions on how to do that: https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2064007-minecraft-windows-10-edition-beta. Hope this fixes the problem, if not, please let me know.

Thank you!

That would unfortunately be correct. You would need to get a Windows 7 license for that laptop to put 7 on it if it was a fresh upgrade.

My computer is running on a clean build of Windows 10, I didn't upgrade from a previous version. Will I have to purchase Windows 7 again?

Intel does not support your video chipset on Windows 10. You need to downgrade back to Windows 7 for it to get supported drivers.

Sadly, updating java didn't fix the problem, I still get the same crash.

Here is a link to the crash report: http://paste.ubuntu.com/15883111/

Hey ChaosWolfe,

Try updating Java, here's the link to do that: https://java.com/en/download/. If it still doesn't work, please post your crash log for further assistant. You should be able to play the game on your system.

Thank you!
