So, everytime I run Minecraft the game opens then crashes and prints this out:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
at org.apache.logging.log4j.util.PropertiesUtil.<init>(PropertiesUtil.java:71)
at org.apache.logging.log4j.util.PropertiesUtil.<clinit>(PropertiesUtil.java:31)

at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:41)

... 6 more
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release

Anyone know how to fix this? I have windows 8.1 if that helps anything. I also have Java even though minecraft.net says I don't need it. Help?

Do you have any mods or forge? And, what is your minecraft version?

My version is the latest launcher you can download from Minecraft.net. I got a new computer and tried to download it and it just does that crash. So I have no mods.

I suggest using Optifine. Go to the official site and click on whichever version you use. Your minecraft crashes most likely because Java is taking up too much memory, or the server ticks are running behind too far.

I just tried downloading Optifine. When I download the installer it has the option to install or cancel. But I can't click the install button.
