Minecraft Crashing
When I try to play Minecraft on my Dell laptop it crashes. I can get into the starty thing where it says play but when I try to load a world up it goes "pop" and crashes and I'm like WUT THE LAG??? So I need help I can play on one computer but it's a desktop Mac so I'm devastated on vacations I'm not modded
P.S. Anyone know how to install mods without giving your computer a virus? (I'm going to use my Mac for it, it seems strong when it comes to installing things)

Or you could temporarily remove that modded .jar file from \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions and re-download that .jar for the version the mod is running on and you have vanilla Minecraft back!
In other words, you could remove the .jar of the version your mod is running (ie. 1.8_Modded.jar), and restart MC Launcher and select Version: The version your modded MC ran (ie. 1.8), download the 1.8.jar file to play 1.8 and you got vanilla MC back
Wait how do you "turn off" a mod?
just remove it from your mods folder as for "disabling it ingame" im not sure how that feature works or if it even works yet
Thanks I'll try Forge and your instructions... AND I GOTTA GET ADBLOCK!
Install adblock and also install stopmodreposts to stop you from going to sites that display mods that are outdated or viruses
here are the offical forge installers for whatever minecraft version you want (1.7.10 being the main and most used currently)

Okay... I will never get it out of my head...
You will, lets end it here. Use adblock, what you saw, you will forget and now back to main topic, did you fix your minecraft?

*gets the coffe of sam* YAY!
I was looking for a mod and I saw something gross...
Adblock, my friend.
Thanks for all the advice, but I went through so much trouble just installing Minecraft. And I want to know how to install mods... like how to find the file to put them in.
I'd advise just reinstalling minecraft, that will probably do it, since i don't have much information I can't say much else. Also, installing mods doesn't give you a virus, as long as it's not some thing from a weird website. Just find the mods on PMC and you'll be fine.
