Minecraft Crashing in 1.9

Some of my servers are 1.8 and some are 1.9. Every time I try to join a 1.9 server it crashes. Although when I join a 1.8 server it doesn't crash and it runs smooth. Any help?

go into options
then go into video settings
then turn on VSync and VBOs
then go into video settings
then turn on VSync and VBOs
Beat me to it.
