Hello everyone,
i was wandering if anyone could help me find a solution for my problem.
my brother bought minecraft for his computer about a month ago and any time we try to start up the game for him... it says cannot connect to minecraft.net (we are sure its the right username and password as weve been on his account on my laptop and it works fine) also if we click 'play online' it never loads.
if anyone could help us with this problem i would greatly appreciate it and could offer some diamonds of something in return

Make sure your internet connection is on
If it does it Everytime for the same computer, but works fine from another computer, it is logically the computer that is at fault, I am just going to assume you are running windows, and that windows security has got a bug in its pants and at some point it deduced that minecraft is a terrible threat to its independence and happiness and has labeled it as unsafe.
You will need to go through windows security settings to give permission to minecraft to run, it might also be any internet security program you have running, they are all a little crazy like over protective father who would rather see their children grow up depressed and lonely then let them go outside and play.
If its not that you can always blame Java. Try updating it.

Try to download minecraft from minecraft.net again.
Try to re-install java for him.

i think you need to login to minecrft.net. but that is maybe not the problem. close minecraft and then open it again.
Is your Internet working

Ok I had this problem once all ya gotta do is login to minecraft.net. that's that i did And worked.
