MINECRAFT EXTREMELY HIGH PING AT RANDOM TIMES!
So, I have a minecraft account, and we just bought a new router that gets a lot more MbPs than before, so keep that in mind. Minecraft connection to servers has always been fine for me (full connection bars) unless it's an EU server, but for some reason, at random times, the connection goes down to 1 bar or 2 bars and makes people teleport around in PVP servers. This continues for a random amount of time, whether 5 minutes or a few hours, and it annoys the hell out of me. I have tried restarting my computer and the WiFi router and it doesn't seem to do the trick, I connected to ethernet instead of WiFi and it continued to happen.
Basically this is what is going on:
-connection is good, minecraft running well
-I notice it takes a while for things in minecraft to react to me touching them
-disconnect and find all minecraft servers to have 1 bar of connection (or ping or whatever)
-random amount of time later, it fixes itself and is back to normal
-Repeat
So, if any1 understands what is going on here I really need some help fixing it. If you have any more questions about my connection, computer, router, ethernet cable, Mbps, etc. Please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks

Dude just call your ISP. It makes this easier on all of us.
I'm not sure what CAUSES the problem, but ironically it happened to me today and the IT guy where I was said it was an issue with the router. I'd start there if I were you.
However, normally I'm lag-free, even on servers with only 1-2 bars. It may be because you have a low framerate. Login to a server and press F3. Then, look for your FPS. If it's under 25-30 FPS, then it's not lag, but the frames are just loading slowly.
I'd recommend just seeing if your FPS is low, and if it's high (50-60+), then it's probably your router.
I hope this helps!
