im attempting to install forge so i could get worldedit.
ive followed a tutorial, and ive gotten forge to appear in the launcher,
but when i try to launch minecraft forge it loads a bit but then my game crashes with exit code 6.
i need help :'(

I've been having the same issue, but I'm playing Java on Windows 10, and I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this and that it's just a bug. I've tried all the methods, and none worked, but I made a modpack with the mods I wanted in the curseforge app and launched it there, and it didn't crash. But I found it too inconvenient to wait for TWO launchers to open, so I am switching to fabric until it works again. The issue is only with forge, no matter the version. Switching to fabric mod loader or launching through curseforge are the only solutions I know now, but I hope this helps. Edit: I'm getting exit code 1, which isn't loading. It just crashed, and I forgot to add that in the initial reply.
alright, thank you. good to know i didnt just mess something up. ill give fabric a try.
