Minecraft freezes on the logging in screen...

Whenever I try to log into a server it gets stuck on the logging in screen and I have to close my minecraft. How do I fix this???

when i try to get on servers it either stays at 'logging in' or wider than 21 or bad login? whats up?

Its happening to me too! it must be a bug in minecraft, till then do something else, like read a book
