Minecraft glitching

I had a really cool minecraft 1.10 world, but when I just opened it in 1.10.2 it started glitching out horribly, I ca't describe what it looked like. And this is the first time I've experienced this. I've opened another world from 1.10 and a world from 1.9 in 1.10.2, and I had no problem with them.

UPDATE: this is now happening with all my 1.9.4 and 1.10 worlds

UPDATE: fixed it by turning VBOs on
