My Minecraft has no sound pls help!

pls help, i did everything, delete everything and uninstalled, downloaded a new java, messed with minecraft settings, pressed f3 and t together, messed with mipmap and resource packs omg everything, I never had this problem only with the new version, idk whats wrong

What MC version are you using? I'm guessing it's a bug in the game version itself that will be fixed later. I assume the older versions work fine though.

No the older versions wont work, i've downloaded the latest on another computer and the sound works and then i put it on a USB and deleted my minecraft and replaced it the working files from the usb but it still came up with no sound, so cant be a missing file problem :/

I have the same, I just do f3+t every time i launch the game, it reloads resourcepacks but it fixes sounds aswell

Silent mode gets enabled every time you start the game, it doesnt seem to have installed anything to do with the OpenAL Library which is what handles the sounds in minecraft, this bug often happens in snapshots, on mojang bugs there are some logged issues of it happening in 1.11.2, i'd suggest having a look through https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-9974 and see if there is anything in there that has any fixes

Okay thanks for your help, I've had no luck, tried so many things, I'll have to wait for a new update and hope it will fix it, thanks though, much appreciated

have you checked the volume mixer to see if minecraft is turned down, also if you are using a laptop you might need to press the Fn key to use F3

It doesn't appear in the volume mixer at all, if you read the logs it says minecrafts sound system doesn't start up??? :/
