Minecraft java edition skin help?

Hello, I need some help with skins in minecraft java edition, I have a skin in my minecraft launcher that I always use. I want to create different versions of the skin but I don't have the file of the skin anywhere in my pc! Is there anyway to get the file of my skin without having to recreate the whole thing?

do you remember the skin name? if so, you can search it up using the search option on your taskbar. if it isn't added yet, right click your taskbar then select 'search' then 'show search box.' next, search up the file name. if you can find it, then right click it then click 'Open File Location.' it should then open the folder it is in, then you can view where it is on the top in a rectangular box showing something like 'This PC > Downloads'

you can also try viewing your recent downloads option on your browser that you downloaded the skin on.

You could wear the skin, then go to a skin grabber website like minecraft.tools and download the skin that way
if you have worn it before, you can try using namemc! i dont know if you have to load the page or anything for skins to load, but ye
