Minecraft Keeps Crashing When In Server

Hi, my friends minecraft keeps crashing whenever he is in a server for about 1 minute. He crashes and disconnects. Under 1.7.4 it works and he does not crash. But on this version he does. Why is that can i get some help?

Don't go on servers.
