So my minecraft used to work just fine on my laptop and even when i would run camtasia studio and record my works it would still run just fine. Then all of the sudden it just stopped running nice and everything lags so much. messed with the video settings and have removed my hd texture pack and it still lags. i have installed the following mods
-Modloader
-Forge
-Rei's minimap
-Timber mod
-TooManyItems mod
-gammabright mod
These all used to run fine. i even tried uninstalling a few mods and testing it without mods even. it still lags. i tried deleting my temp files. still lag. not sure what else to try. so i threw it up on here. somebody help please.

Alright i got it working fine. Just had to change a few video settings. thanks anyways
all it does is allocate more ram so it doesn't run out of mem too fast
Well the more RAM you allocate the higher the MAX Fps is.
u can always just change the max fps in the options...
It's improved for me
type this into the cmd and run it javaw -Xmx2048m -Xms2048m -jar "C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\Minecraft.exe"
Make sure you change "USERNAME" to the user on your computer. This will start minecraft with 2gb of ram rather than the default 1gb.

I dont think that helps with lag... Just get the optifine mod. Might not work with forge tho...

Well, it could be the fact that Minecraft isn't used to Camtasia or something, either that or your Java is outdated.
It would be a lot more easier if you posted your specs, sometimes games require a lot of GPU or CPU power.

Well, if you install Forge, you don't install ModLoader, and the other way around.
Not sure what Gammabright mod is.
Try restarting your computer and re-installing Java.
