I opened my world to LAN so that I could play with my sister. it seems to be extremely laggy. I can see the head of her character turning, but she cannot interact with any blocks, and she can only walk around and I cannot see the things she does on my screen. Is the problem my connection or something else? I turned off my firewall and I cannot find the answers anywhere.

Unless you both are far from your wifi router, its most likely not your connection.
Minecraft makes and connects to its own server within the client. This is why you can start LAN very easily, and is also the cause of your problem depending on hardware
