Hello, crafters!
Well, enough chit-chat. On my friend's computer, he has downloaded the MC launcher, and has opened it, but right as he should've seen the minecraft (not mojang) screen, the game crashes, and the launcher re-opens. Both he and I have no idea what was going on, but it is an old computer, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a problem with the hardware. I know that I am missing some info, please tell me what info you need, and I will supply it the best I can.
Please help,
Arceus

Post the crash log -_-
Redownloaded it about 7 times (don't ask why), and I restarted it many times, and it still doesn't work. I'm yet to have the crash report or MC factory reset.
I had this problem re download then restart your computer thats what i did and it fixed it
I'm on 1.7.9, and I haven't tried MC factory reset, that might work.
What version are you running on his computer. Mine crashes when I'm on 1.7.2 or higher, maybe he has the same problem. Try that, unless you already have tried.
Ad link blockage? Ugh, just type in Skydaz.com and look up Minecraft factory reset.

Whoah, my friend had the exact same problem with his Minecraft . I'll have him try what is suggested here, maybe that'll fix it.
Sorry guys, I have updated java and it still doesn't work. Also, deleting .minecraft . I have seen a crash log, I'll tell him to send it to me 'cuz I'm on my home computer.
Try checking the java website for a update. If that is not it delete the .minecraft folder that usually fixes it.
Do you have the latest java version, if not download it.
You can also try to delete the .minecraft folder and reinstall the game.

He might not have Java updated.
Does it generate any crash logs in the minecraft folder? If not then it is probably JVM crashing, which I have no idea how to fix JVM crashes. It may also generate hs_pid_#### files in the directory, which are the JVM crashes.
JVM is Java Virtual Machine.
