Minecraft /Playsound Glitch!

Hello! I am currently making a map, but I found a glitch with the /playsound command. I enter in the following command: /playsound liquid.swim @a ~ ~ ~ 2 1 1 but for some reason, it doesn't do anything. I tried replacing "liquid.swim" with another sound name (such as mob.chicken.plop) and that seemed to work fine. If anyone out there knows what the problem is, please tell me.

As you said, you checked the format in your command. Make sure to do that one more time, and if that does not work, read the rest of my post. This could be an issue if you have not updated your Essentials plugin for your server. Essentials may not be working with your currrent Minecraft server version, as in 1.7.4 they redid the whole MCP (Minecraft Coder Pack). These issues have been occurring with many older and non-updated plugins. Please let me know if you have any further questions!
