Hi, I just got a new laptop and I was wondering how can I make it record without any lag?
I have both Minecraft and fraps and i just want to make videos with out the lag.
My laptop has 4gig of RAM and I'd just love to make nice smooth videos. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

I recommend you to use Camtasia recorder 8. There is a video about how to get it free: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SStAzE_NCgg

My best advice, being a pretty experienced 'YouTuber':

Experiment. Every computer is different in it's own ways, depending on what software it has, and what hardware. Find out what's best for your PC and go from there.

If you don't feel like getting to know your PC better, I suggest installing optifine first.
Then something nobody really knows is that Bandicam (The full paid version, so that it doesn't have the logo at the top) is actually very easy on your PC, whilst still getting plenty of frames, and even recording at 1080p with no problem.

Hope this helped.

Also, don't jump into making videos before you're ready, make sure you've got everything set up and ready before you go out and record & upload.

Alright, that's about all the advice I can give.
PEACE!

What card does it have? To be honest, a laptop with 4GB of ram won't be able to record smoothly, but it depends on your graphics card and processor.

Well, just try recording and see how it goes. If it lags, turn down your settings to a level that makes it lag less. If that fails, try Optifine and possibly something like Razer Game Booster. If all of that fails, get a better computer.
