While the idea is noble, people will ask for help when they need it. You can easily find threads that people post with their problems and solve them there, making another thread for people to post issues in is somewhat redundant seeing it's the purpose of the entire section.
I did not mention any form of java coding.

What coding languages do you know? Do you know java? Do you know how to use linux? What sort of "maintenance" are you good at? What previous experience have you had?
