Minecraft server help Plzz

Well im trying to get the shelf mod on my server an everytime i try to get it out off the toomanyitems inventory it tells me unknown block command 162,An then when i pick it from the creative inventory it it disconnects me from the server an says connection lost end of stream could you help me please.??

A minecraft Mod is different than a Minecraft Plugin. I assume you are using bukkit. A mod can add new items into the game. A plugin cannot; I plugin can only edit pre-existing things in the original Minecraft. UNLESS You get Spout and all of your players do too. Then that is the only way, that I know of, to add custom items in-game.
the server needs the mod installed on it too
NOTE for this you need the jar from Minecraft.net
If the mod needs forge
Also doing this will require all players to have the mod installed also
what basically you need to do is download Forge and then drag the files in that to inside the server jar then start the server then put the mod file (zip or Jar) inside the Mods directory. If you need plugin you need to Get bukkit forge then put it in the Core Mods folder
