My Minecraft server list is BROKEN!!!

Hey guys! I know this sounds like an old thing but my MC Server list broke in an unusual way. What happened is, I had gotten on 1.8.8. I went to MT and my servers were broken. Only Hypixel, the server at the top of the list, still worked. The other servers had their data completely wiped: IE what was once a working server lost its ip. I exited MC and checked my server.dat. It was corrupted. I couldn't find anything in there but gibberish. What now? I can provide images.

Unless you or MC are/were in the habit of backing things up, ya might need to restore everything from scratch :/
And, next time, back things up constantly - especially between versions. I prefer keeping big versions in separate folders, though if you back up it's not a requirement for safe operation.
