Minecraft server...need help creating it!
Though I have played minecraft for a long time, I have no idea on how to create a server for multiplayer. I've done everything to try and create a server with the help o youtube vids and even Minecrafts wiki article on how to create one but I just fail at it. Can someone help me create a multiplayer server that will work? Your help will be appreciated....

The easy way to do it is to use something called Vanilla.
You need to download: https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownl ... Server.exe
Then make a new folder somewhere you can remember eg. Desktop
call it something that describes it, like Minecraft Server. Place the exe in the folder and run it. To test open Minecraft and in the ip adress write 127.0.0.0 and if it works carry on. To get your friends to join you need to either portforward (can be hard depending on your router) but you can use something called Hamatchi. Install Hamatchi on your computer and join or create a network. Invite your friends to the network and to get the IP they need to right click your name in Hamatchi and press 'Copy IP V4 adress' then use Ctrl+V to paste into Minecraft IP server. Done
