What I'm saying is, every server isn't really unique. They basically all have essentials, factions, pvp, and mcmmo. Nothing really unique about them. I don't get why they are like all the same compared to all the varieties there are in making them.
If servers become more unique, the more players will come on is my theory.

Everyone here seems to have a pretty good idea of what they want... Would anyone want to pop onto my server sometime and help me make it more unique fun and more-over make it a better experience for everyone who joins and those who stick around to have fun? It Would be greatly appreciated.

*Edit: When Tekkit Finally Catches up to 1.3.2 do you guys think that people would play on a half Vanilla half Tekkit Server? With Tekkit Clients able to go to Vanilla but Vanilla not able to go to Tekkit World.

So many servers are overdone. In my opinion, there are only three problems that really need fixing in SMP - Grief, Cheating, and Overcrowding. I run three almost-vanilla servers, and there's definitely a player audience for "just plain Minecraft". I definitely recommend GriefPrevention, NoCheatPlus, AntiXRay, and PopulationDensity. They're all the best at what they do, and they don't get enough credit.

I agree with you, sir. I have been dying to make a server that was actually unique.
My objections are not with the actual plugins (or at least some of them).
Mine are with the server owners not thinking of new and exciting ways of doing things.
If you already owned a server, or know somebody that does, there could be a communal effort to make something original and fun.

Not to sound like some loon, but that unoriginality seems to be in the water.
Have you recently seen any movies that are neither remakes, nor play off of themes that have been overused?
Have you heard any original music...well, that last one has some originality left in it.

I love the plugins with nice designs in mobarena or the call of duty plugin / ctf.

Tottaly agree I like servers like s1.mcinfected.net and cookieslap.net.
