Minecraft Started lagging after reinstaling ny OS
Hi guys so as the title says after i reinstaled my windows 7 and made it XP i downloaded minecraft It said ,,Bad Video Card Drivers,, i fixed it then i started minecraft and i was i had 2 fps on minimal setting FLATLAND WITH OPTIFINE before reinstalling my OS i had 20+ fps with 64x64 texture pack on Fancy please help

I use windows 7 and i get 100-200 fps.
It dosen't completely depend on OS, but your CPU, RAM, Power Supply and Graphics card.

I have Duo Core 2,3 Ghz 4 GB RAM and 1GB Video Card 500 HDD Sata
Pretty bad.

30fps isn't that good...
Its considered "Playable"
I can run "modern" games at well over 100 fps or more.
Skyrim, Arma 2, Borderlands 2, Fallout 3/Vegas, etc.

Dude just get Ubuntu Linux.
I used to have Windows XP and it lagggged like no end. EVEN WITH OPTIFINE.
Oh and I couldn't use Forge.
Now I have Ubuntu 12.04 and no optifine, minecraftforge, and barely any lag.

Thanks but i must know how how to do it on WinXP i know people with XP that have 100 fps+ on maxed out settings
Just download the ISO file for 13.04, put it on a DVD, put the DVD in your computer, restart, and just follow the instructions on how to install. Just make sure to backup your files. Oh and you may have to find Black Ops for Linux (may be hard, but its worth it.).
Try to update everything, if that doesn't work, it's mostly because winxp is not as 'fast' as win7.
EDIT: Update your:
Java, Video card, Bios (Only if you know how), Also, clean out the dust from your computer. It's what usually helps me.

windows xp is much less powerful than windows 7. that's really the only problem.
No, Windows XP is much more powerful because the graphics, etc. Are bad.
Beause my Windows 7 bugged and i had only original XP so yea
