MineCraft Stuck On "Updating MineCraft" After Installing Mod

The problem may be the mod is a different version of minecraft then your jar is, so either download a older .jar or wait for the mod developer to update it.

You only need one or the other, Forge or ModLoader.

If it needs ModLoader, you may as well install Forge so you can also install Forge mods. (Unless it overwrites an important Forge class)

If it needs Forge, you have to install Forge for it to work. (And do not install ModLoader along with Forge)

Also make sure the mod matches your Minecraft version.

reinstall all mods in the right order and dont forget the meta-inf

many mods "can" break the update funktion of minecraft
