Hey!

So to get straight to the point, I've had the problem for a while that in Minecraft 1.16 (latest version) get frezzer. First I had played with Forge a few mods on the 1.16 (also latest version). Since it was the same frezzer and lags. I thought Okay must be because of the mods or so.... But when I deleted all mods and the lag still occurred. I then reinstalled Minecraft, Forge and the mods. Still no improvement! Then I tried different versions, wrote to support from Forge (they did not help me a bit) and tested Minecraft Vanilla. After I noticed that even Minecraft Vanilla stutterd and no matter whether I V-Sync or Framerate locking made or not, the situation has not changed! On my settings in Minecraft I changed something, such as visibility down, graphics set to "Fast" and the launcher added more RAM (5 to 7 GB I tried no difference).

I have screenshots of task manager, MSI afterburner, system information, my Minecraft folder, latest.log file with 2021-06-02-1.log.gz. Some screenshots I can't send because "Too many files attached."

Additional Info:
  • My Minecraft settings are changed small bit (visibility, graphics).
  • Only in Minecraft I have the problem that a lag or short frezzer can occur
  • I don't run much in the background, maybe just my browser or anti-virus (turned both
    turned off and no difference)
  • Am happy to send more data to solve the problem
  • Also on servers and self created worlds lags occur
  • Oh and the taskmanager screenshots were taken while playing Minecraft

With best regards
Yours
Leon

Hi Leon. It sounds like your whole system is slowing down to a near graphics processing halt?
Did you set your graphics card controller to increase anti-aliasing for Minecraft? Hot Hot! Undo!?
Also I would not recommend overclocking MSI cards, ever, unless you don't mind burning them.
Micro Star International cards are really cheap but you get what you pay for with those. They don't last long if overclocked.
(Except foundry models which are dead rare/expensive and have excellent materials/components in them)
Is your graphics card extra noisy while playing MC? Yes? Then this is your issue. Pushing graphics card too much.
Check your GPU temperature. Generally anything over 75c is getting a bit too hot and expect performance drops.

Usually a graphics card will auto self protect and shut down at 90-95c.
Also.. did you clean your pc/laptop fans/heat sinks at all lately? Likely to help with overheated systems.

A clean PC is a healthy PC.

You might also take a look at reducing background services. I have a windows 7 system that should have
over 100 services and processes running. It has just 40. Tune your PC to only run what is required thus freeing up
ram CPU and making your system cooler live longer and use less electricity. Example. No printer connected to pc/laptop?
Why you run printspooler service every startup then?

Run the below lines in Start button/run box
Without changing anything! Explore the below windows config consoles.

services.msc - Default startup services. (Control what services Windows runs every startup) Disabled/Manual/Auto
msconfig.exe - Default optional .exe startup programs. (Startup tab. Check boxes. Most Spyware/bloatware etc disabled here.)
taskschd.msc - huge list of scheduled background and often stealthy task. (Remove/find scheduled auto self restoring viruses etc.)

Ctrl+_Alt+Del check how many services you are running. If you have Windows 10 it's probably way over 100.
Reduce background tasks and schedualed things to absolute minimum once you look up each service as required or not.
If that does not work to fix your graphics issue in MC try actually reducing the amount of ram you gave MC. It might sound odd
but if you give MC too much of your system use ram your system will likely have background out of memory fits periodically
causing it to rake in memory from hoggers which in turn causes those memory hoggers to periodically stall.
