Hello, I currently have two premium Minecraft accounts; xXFoxy_GrandpaXx and RondoNumbaNine. I was wondering if it was possible to change your username on a premium Minecraft account. If not, what should I do? I hate both names.

I wish I got on minecraft early so I could get a short and simple name

If Mojang does add username changing sometime in the near future, it would very well work with server banning. Every user has a specific user ID (which is unique to that player and account). So if you changed your Username, all severs would have to do would be to check that the user is on a premium account (which Minecraft already does with using access tokens and user sessions), and then do a simple check from the users email (from the Mojang database).
I don't know if this is how they will actually do it. But it is a possibility.

I hate my name too but I would only slightly change it because people wouldn't recognise me. I would add a capital 'H' and maybe some other stuff.
that's if its possiable because it might not work with the server banning thing unless its ip banned

I knew this fact before Mojang knew themselves.
It will work with a "Player ID" system.
This means that you will have an ID, instead of a name, eg: 839201.
You will then be able to set your username.
When someone bans you on a Minecraft server, it automatically bans your ID, NOT your username. So no matter how much you change your name, your still banned. Also, it helps because other players who use your name after you switch won't be banned from the server, just your ID is banned, it won't have anything to do with IGN's.
This is called the "Player ID system".
I figured out how this would work once, then a few months later mojang announced how it will work too.

I thought that would go with user-IDs then
Mojang said they will add in in with 1.8, so it's possible if you have some patience
