Minecraft won't install

Hello, i have a windows vista computer, and i have some trouble installing minecraft. i used both .msi and .exe but none will work. i get halfway done, but it always say "minecraft has had trouble installing. this may be due to a corruption. please try to reinstall minecraft." i did this approximately 16 times. still no. can anyone help?

That doesn't really matter; I was able to install and play Minecraft on Windows Server 2008 R2 and a few other OS's w/o using an administrative user

I'm not i'm just wondering why he would run games on a server? He can do what he wants lol
