Minecraft won't launch
My Minecraft wont launch, the launcher opens but once the loading screen comes up it crashes. I've tried the task manager thing, I've got everything updated my laptop and java. I deleted it and re-downloaded it but it still wont launch. I don't know if i'm just doing something wrong but I'd like to be able to play again.

One of these is bound to fix your error
Check your system environment variables
File explorer > Right click on This PC > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables
Make sure none of the items in the list have Java in their name, if they do delete it.
Uninstall Minecraft
Do it through the Control Panel to fully remove the system files, and double check the .minecraft folder
is deleted by going to %appdata% in the file explorer. Then reinstall.
Update Java
Uninstall Java through the control panel and download the most up to date version through https://www.java.com/en/download/

You could try using an alternative minecraft launcher called MultiMC which is available here : https://multimc.org/
Easy to set up. Install it, open it, right-click on the window, choose create instance, choose your MC version, click ok, add a minecraft account via the settings / accounts and away you go - usually takes a minute or two at most. Excellent for modded as well as Vanilla.
MultiMC takes care of installing Forge with a single click.
Here is a small document (open with Wordpad) showing how to install Forge in MultiMC on one of your Minecraft instances (only if you need it for midding) :

It’s possible that minecraft is using the wrong version of Java. I have only experienced this through windows. OpenJDK 8 is best supported if I remember correctly. It’s a different process for windows, search up something like ‘minecraft launcher select java version windows’ and follow those steps to possibly fix your issues
have you installed any mods, that may not work?
