So I launched minecraft to find out that my survival world isn't there. I've tried restarting my PC, closing and re-opining minecraft but nothing is working. Something I noticed is that my world name is "carl wheezer" and i clicked on create new world and i put in the name carl wheezer, the bottom text would say "World saved as "carl wheezer" (1). I've put in other names and it doesn't show that 1. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated

Have a look in your ..\.minecraft\saves folder. If there is any chance your world still exists, then the folder with your original world name would be in the 'saves' directory. What might have happened is that part of the world files may be slightly corrupt and Minecraft no longer sees it as a usable minecraft world.
Check your .minecraft save files. It may be in there.
