[DEV(s) NEEDED] Minigame Server Startup
Build_and_Break
Hello fellow developers! My name is larsima, but really it's Build_and_Break. I come before you with an interesting case. My friend and I made a small, quick server once will a couple silly little minigames. It was supposed to be private, but the idea has flourished, and we need developers. I code websites, so 90% of plugin code is foreign to me. You don't have to develop everything, but at least contribute for credit. Here are the game we'd like developed, if anyone is interested, or could point us to existing projects or good help:
Games:
-Capture the Flag: Users have amazing kits oriented around fishing, example: A kit has an extreme "slap" fish, some salmon, and a fishing rod which he uses to hook the flag and place back at his base. Killstreaks or capture streaks may be provided for kills, "coins", or points. Example: the user is put into a boat, given extreme speed, and has a better fishing rod for 30 seconds after capturing a flag. Donors have special perks and/or kits. (This is a must-be developed.)
-Hide and Seek: players are assigned a block and are sent out to hide in a map. They are disguised as that block. A seeker will be chosen with a diamond sword, who must find, chase, and kill the blocks. This person must have a keen eye. Donors can choose which block they want to disguise as from a block GUI. (This system is already established, no plugin is needed, but maybe some more maps).
-TnTRun: fairly self explanatory: users have a tiny bit of speed, and run and jump around some sand and gravel sitting atop TnT. Wherever they walk, the ground vanishes behind them. Generally, there are multiple layers. (This plugin works, but only for 2 people. We'd need a new plugin and more maps.)
-StickSlap: Users have speed, and a stick with Knockback 10. They can slap people off by left-clicking and PvPing, but when they right-click, an egg is shot, which, when hitting the floor, removes it. You could shoot 3 at a time, but you must wait a bit for it to reload. If an egg hits TnT, which would be conveniently placed in the map, the TnT would harm all others around it, and damage the arena. (We'd need a plugin made for this, as well as maps.)
-AirWars: Using the MagicCarpet (or similar) API, players could fly about through the air and shoot at each other from their glass square, but could not come close to each other. Their bows would be very powerful, and they'd have infinity enchants. Upon death, they'd respawn on their carpet. Donors could buy better bows, or maybe change their carpet types, possibly even add a wall or other defense to their carpet. (We do need this developed, but maps won't be needed, as it's floating over the void anyway.)
-Call of Duty: The name sounds intimidating, but most of the work for this is DONE. We'd include this, with guns, as a cool minigame. We DO need gametypes and game systems setup.
-Any other game: We're still brainstorming, and we can use the power of other builders' unique minds to find new, original ideas. We very open and grateful of any original, fun, and realistic ideas.
Please note that we don't need any shops or economy, but if you'd like to develop with us and implement it, we can talk. No, we aren't offering pay, but we'll offer tons of fun and help! Again, if you're at all interested in becoming and sort of developer for us, for this, for web, for anything back-end, well, for ANYTHING, we do need Devs, and help is much appreciated. I do know a little bit about Bukkit's inner workings, but we're dumbfounded when it comes to this. If you're interested, please let us know in the comments, as we're very excited to get working.
