Hello everyone, before I start can I just say that this problem has never happened before, not in the 4 years i've been owning a server anyway. It's not something simple like "have you got a plugin that places mobs everywhere?".
So my problem is that I have an extreme amount of mobs spawning in areas and it seems there's no limit to how many are spawning in that area, can anyone suggest a solution to this or help me find the source of the problem? Here are some pictures showing how extreme it actually is at times.

Was the server render distance recently changed?
Edit:Also,what is the situation below ground?are there caves where mobs could spawn?or none/all lit up?

Do you by any chance have a custom world? :^)
It's not a custom world, it's just an old world generated with multiverse, but this problem came way after the world was made
