I have run into a few problems concerning installing mods on my Macbook Pro, I got it new this summer, and I'm having two main problems. When I try to install mods, I compress the minecraft.jar file, then when i try to decompress it, it just decompresses, not creating a folder, although it did make a folder on previous attempts. The other thing, I've been trying to install the Better Animations mod, and I follow all the directions, I make the folder, transfer and replace files, the terminal stuff, all that. When I open minecraft, it asks me if i want to update, if I say no, i keep playing without the mod, if i click yes, it starts to update, then errors occur when it's at 18%. I really want the Better Animations (knees for spiders) but no Youtube tutorial I've watched so far has helped. Plz help!
