A Modded Server For My Friend And I?

So. I'll get straight to it. My friend, let's say her name is Mia. Mia and I would like to join each other on the same game, with mods. Currently, I have the modpack "The 1.7.10 Pack" (link here -http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/the-1710-pack.453902) Mia lives across the world from me... Making it a bit more difficult. I am running on a mac book pro with 8 rams. Mia is running on a windows 8 with ? ram... I don't know how to do this as a private server, and I'd like some help.
