I have tried a lot of mods, both manual and auto install and all but one have crashed my minecraft before I have even started to play, or within a few seconds of getting into a world.
The only mod which has worked is Too Many Items, which crashed about every ten minutes, so I had to uninstall it.
I delete META-INF every time and follow videos and the instructions on the mod, but it always crashes, and I really want to have a mod on (especially Minecraft Comes Alive)
I don't know whether this counts as a mod, but the ability to have capes works well on my minecraft, and hasn't crashed it once!
Can anyone help

VertualsniperShider PaperJust because you have a newer computer never means it has the exact power to run certain things but that shouldn't be an issue with Minecraft I wouldn't think. All things aside, it takes time and knowledge to instal mods. Always back up your .Minecraft file, and listen to instructions carefully on said mods.
But I'm no mod expert. I only have one mod and that was after trial and error or setting it up. Also, I heard installers are rubbish and can also have malware attached to them sometimes, but as I said, I could be wrong.
Not all installers have malware only some and I use it I have scanned it before I found nothing but your right most of them do.
Yes, I thought I made it fairly clear that it only happens sometimes. Thank you for strengthening the subject though.

3:reis minimap
4:optifine
5:shaders

Nope, it's pretty new! It's Windows 7 I think, but it is quite fast.
Is it an old computer?
