can anyone tell me how to turn my server to peaceful? i dont like monsters when im trying to build- especially creepers! any help would be appreciated =)

you have to edit the options text to turn off monster spawning. you find it in your .bin file
That might be how you do it client side but he said that he had his own server. There is a line in the server.properties called spawn-monsters that you can set to false to stop monsters spawning.
