Multiplayer Server Help

Alright, I'm really hoping this is the right part of the forum. I have a Minecraft Server that my brother and I use. Now he went to college a week ago and I'm going as well tomorrow. Before then, we could both get onto this "Private" server (Griefer-free) using our home's wifi. Now, it seems that it is no longer possible due to our use of different networks.

The Question
Is there anyway to get the server to allow both of us without making it completely public?
