I had downloaded a Texture Pack 2 weeks ago called New Defealt, my Minecraft started lagging a lot so I had removed it but since I installed it my Minecraft FPS is acting weird it used to be 60 to 80 FPS and now 30 to 50. and then I also have problems with my Launcher since I installed the Texture Pack my Launcher is black grayish so the background of the launcher when I start it up, I have to wait 15 minutes for the Play button to come, I thought I do install Lunar Client but since my JavaScript was acting weird and download java, optifine, minecraft and Lunar Client again my Lunar Client has 7 fps and Minecraft Launcher is still acting weird. my computer says it doesn't have a Virus on it either so I was wondering if anyone knows why this is because before I downloaded the Texture Pack I literally never had this my specs are intel r core tm i7-4510u so this is a Asus laptop.
Edit: Forgot to say, i only have this with Minecraft.

Try to lower the settings and instal Optifine
They already have optifine.
how much ram do you have? can you run minecraft with more ram? minecraft is set at 2gb as standard, you can change this by clicking installations at start up screen, click edit installation, then more options, where it says JVM arguments ingnore most of the text but at the start you should see -Xmx2G -....... just change the number 2 to what ever you would like, i have mine set at 8 as i have 16gb to use
download the three mods for fabric: sodium lithium and phosphor, look it up on youtube, basically it doesnt have shaders or connected textures or custom skies but while optifine doubles your fps, the trio makes it x3 or x4
and if you want a replacement for optifine: there are mods for connected textures on fabric too, even mods for zooming: lambdabettergrass, logicalzoom
Where did you download the texture pack?
edit: I saw your post saying you think you got it from curseforge, nvm. Maybe check your history though, just incase?

I already use optifine i already said that
Can you bring your computer to an earlier save? I would ise this as a last resort if so. Just make sure you copy ur worlds to a USB if you end up having to restore it to an ealier date.
Remove the texture pack. NO texture packs can higher up your fps! Also, try optifine. It gives you settings for higher fps. optifine.net
I already deleted the texture pack and i already use Optifine
Okay after i did it yesterday my fps is normal again but the Launcher is still slow but it is a bit faster, so thank you but idk maybe something is just wrong with the launcher, does the Launcher have a own Folder too
Yes, the launcher is usually at C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft if using WIn10
Can you elaborate on this?
Whats the process behind texturepacks (lets just say the fps increasing ones) that cause the game to run slower

no idea, I downloaded it and suddenly my game was very slow and it went from 50 to 0 all the time so I had removed it right away and since then only Minecraft does weird on my laptop, I think I just got it from curseforge I normally get the texture packs which I like and I never had a problem with anything from the texture packs from there
My comment was more about how do texturepacks (mainly the fps increasing ones) generate more lag.
Because the whole of minecraft is laggy for you even without that texturepack, after its initial usage, I think something might've corrupted your game.

- Did you go into another world to test if fps is still bad. If it isnt, test with the texturepack
- Uninstall minecraft, delete all its files and reinstall it
by all files do you mean everything that is in the .minecraft folder or in another? (sorry for the late reply) and in the Nether and End I have the same problems as in the OverworldLike everything, you obviously may want to move your saves to another folder for backup just in case
