the thing is that two years ago we were building this world for about a year and a half, which is why its content was gigantic. Later we decided to transfer the world from 1.16.3 to 1.18. and by the way, the world was played only in single player. so we transferred the world, and roughly speaking it was cut in half, that is, the chunks of half of the buildings simply returned to their original form, tried all possible methods, nothing helped. Please, knowledgeable people, do not pass by if there is at least some chance of recovery (there are no viruses, I swear on my life)

Something you might try is creating the world from the same seed as the original in 1.18, then using a utility like Mca Selector to copy the chunks you want from the old world into the new.

(Not sure that will work as the changes in world gen make mean Mcaselector can't write 1.16.3 info to a 1.18 map.)

You might also try converting the world step by step e.g. 1.16.3 to 1.17.1, then from 1.17.1 to 1.18.2

It sounds like you've extensive builds, but using structure blocks to copy parts of the old world and write them onto the new might work. [Needs to be in creative mode and is limited to a 48x48x48 volumn per structure block which could make it prohibitively tedious.]
