Don't worry about it. It's good that you tested to see if your protections were working before you invited players on. Because most new server owners wouldn't bother checking and when their server gets griefed and then they cry and wonder how this could have happened.

You probably have admin mode on. In that mode you can break any blocks in any faction. Including the safe zone. To turn it off do:
