How do I add a texture pack/ resource pack into Java? I need it like really dumbed down, im not a big tech nerd so a lot of the terms dont make any sense to me, any help is appreciated

Basically one needs to get the texture/resouse folder in the "resourcepacks" folder for the appropriate versions
[Normally this will be a zip file, but it may be necessary to unzip the download and place the folder in the "resourcepacks" folder ]
For wimdows the teasiest way to find the correct folder to put the pack into is to click options / texture packs / open texture packs folder form within the game.
