I sort of have this problem too, but with Tekkit Lite? I downloaded Tekkit Lite etc. and it works, but when I go into my inventory I can't see TMI? Its really annoying, I have to use the Tekkit Lite Wiki as my temporary lifesaver.
You may have hidden the GUI. Press O whilst viewing your inventory and it should reappear.
Your running a 1.4.7 version of TMI while your mc version is 1.5.1
