Need help getting my server to work!!!

Hi, so I've been trying to get my server up for awhile now... It's using 1.6.4 with craftbukkit, which is also 1.6.4. When I run the server, no errors appear in the log, but when I check if my port is open at http://porttest.net/ it says the port of my server (25565) is closed... I'm not sure if I just made a stupid mistake while setting up my server, or if it's an issue with my firewall, or my ISP restricting me from portforwarding...
