Need help installing Forge
Alright, so I've gone to the official website and downloaded the installer. But whenever I try to run it or open it, instead of opening or running the program that installs Forge, it just opens up file explorer and I see some files that don't do anything. I've tried looking through them and running them but they won't open any kind of installer or download page.
Can anyone help me? I've tried running the program with various programs from the app store like .jar and .json file extractors, but they won't do anything different.

What version of Forge are you trying to install?

Have you installed Java
And is the Forge file as a Java icon?

Yeah I've installed Java, but the installer won't change to the java icon.
So have you tried to use: Open with

Yes, this has led to me trying several programs meant to run these kinds of files but I always get the same result.
