I wanna start modding Minecraft, but i have no idea where to start. I don't understand JAVA but i am willing to learn it in order to mod.
I have made a few mods with MCreator but I found that I was very limited in what I could do with it and where I could post them.
Also, if someone would like help with one of their mods, I'd love to help in order to gain some modding experience.
Thank you.

He asked how to make mods, not plugins. Lol
Hi. I suggest is that you start with this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Program ... 304&sr=8-2
It'll teach you pretty much everything a beginner needs to know about Java. I know that the fact that it's a book may be a turn off but trust me it's actually really fun following along with the book and it's actually pretty interactive. It's not hard either. After that, you can either learn how to make an independent mod (the best type of mod in my opinion as it doesn't require other dependencies which can be annoying for users) or you can use an API such as Forge or Modloader which makes your job way easier (but forces users to install additional mods).

I suggest looking up a simple tutorial on youtube. If you dont' want that, here is a nice little blog someone made that sums it up pretty nicely
